This is the Royal Palace where the present king and his parents live.
The National Museum was built in 1918 to house some of Cambodia's treasures.

Does the king have actual power to run the country?
Cambodia is nominally a constitutional monarchy. The King and his father and mother hold only the respect and admiration of their people. They are also said to be the least corrupt of the ruling class. Hun Sen is the prime minister and his party holds real power in Cambodia.
